We'd like something with kids activities. Good hotel, nice location. Any thoughts?

Auchrannie?

There's loads of stuff to do with kids on Arran, and the resort has a pretty decent softplay and swimming pool, there also an outdoor activity provider on site.

I've heard good things from a few different people about Seamill Hydro but I've never been myself.

I have been to Seamill Hydro a number of times, just for the day - the knitting group I go to, goes there once or twice a year for a special day out.

It is in a nice location, right on the coast, very friendly staff, comfortable, smart decor, and the food in the Orangerie is delicious.

Plus there is an amazing yarn shop in the town!

Coylumbridge isn't "plush" but it is very family friendly and relaxed. It used to be my DSs favourite hotel in the entire world! :o

I'd definitely recommend Seamill Hydro. Has a kids place swimming play park, tennis court, private beach.

Accommodation is lovely food is fab and you're not far from Largs
