DP is staying at my house for a couple of days. Anyway I just sat down to watch wife-swap and he said "Oh WE'RE not watching this shite" who the hell is he to say this in my house??

Or am I being unreasonable?

What did you say to him as you kicked him out of the room?

I trust you poked his eyes in, so he doesn't have to watch anything now.

What happened?

What would you have said at his house if he switched on some programme you despise?

Nip that in the bud.
Give him a slap!

Well what did you say?

Did you laugh and continue to watch Wife Swap anyway?

Or did you let him get away with being in charge and trying to assert his authority over you?

He doesn't live with you so it's a bit out of order. I would say that to my DH though, if he put on some kung fu or something while we were eating dinner.

It's rude for anyone to start laying down the law in someone else's house. ENd of. If he doesn't want to watch it he can read the paper or have a wank or something.

Maybe he was once on Wife Swap himself, and it brought back bad memories?
