My head all messed up, other half quite aggressive at times, over reacts at the simplest wee thing even when I accidentally do something wrong, starts calling me names, has taught our little one naughty cheeky things, he’s even cheeky to me, starts acting up not listening to me, his dad just sits and laughs, I don’t want my son to dis-respect me, but sometimes am winning a loosing battle, When his dad is at work he’s not that bad, I do loads stuff with him, yet when his dad comes home, my partner complains I’ve not done anything with him, I do nothing etc, all because he can’t sit on his damn phone due to our son wanting his attention then they both start being cheeky to me, I feel like a total failure yet am the one looking after our son every day, when I try to discipline my child my other half just laughs saying he doesn’t listen to you, then my son starts saying it, I’ve got no friends to talk to as when we moved away, closest friend deleted me out her life Since I had my child, the others barely get in touch

Your partner sounds horrible. You're meant to be a team, he shouldn't be undermining you like that.

You're not a failure at all OP but your partner sounds like an arse.

He is belittling you and and making you feel useless. Has he always had this attitude towards you or has this just started. You need to sit down with him when your son is in bed and tell him he is out of order and you won't put up with it. Nip it in the bud now as the longer he gets away with it, the more normal it will become and that will damage your self esteem. If he won't admit or change then I would be ending the relationship. The person you choose to be with should be your support system, your home should be your safe haven. Don't settle for anything less as there are plenty more fish in the sea and not everyone is like this 💐
