Relationships

Second baby

Has anyone thought about having/or had another baby even though their marriage wasn't in a great place?

I feel so alone and I was wondering if there was anyonelse out there who has had another baby to try and help the relationship/marriage

Babies don't work as sticking plasters for relationships. That's bonkers.

that is an appalling suggestion. How could anyone think a baby would repair a marriage. Poor baby

When the marriage fails anyway, how is that fair on the child?

Wow. No way. A child should be brought into a household where the adults work as a team supporting one another, not one where a baby was some sort of remedy for a bad relationship (which never works by the way).

Massively unfair burden to place on a child. Why would you do that. Babies aren’t sticking plasters.

Hunni if you feel alone, you need to speak to to someone about it - your partner, family, a friend. Having a baby won't fix what you feel right now and could potentially make things worse if your not in the right mind frame.

Oh no @Cupcakesaregood you're still with your husband even after everything with the other woman? Have you had your baby? Please, please find the strength to leave him. You deserve better, your children deserve better.

Hi @Cupcakesaregood

I’ve been wondering how you’re getting on. Has your little one arrived? It sounds like your husband is continuing with his rather cruel, emotionally detached behaviour. Like most people who have followed your previous thread, I think you would be much better off without him but of course it will take you time to get there, especially with two tiny children to look after.

Is your mother still with you and able to help?

@Cupcakesaregood
I've thought of you recently, wondering if you'd had your baby and if you were okay. It doesn't sound like things have improved; I'm sorry you still going through this.

Well my relationship is poor and my partner wants another baby. I absolutely won't be doing it. I think it will make things harder not easier.
