I snooped and discovered he is cheating . Now what ?

I’ve been with my partner nearly three years . We don’t live together . I have children from a previous relationship . He has none . Several months ago he became friendly with a woman he knew from his college days . I was uneasy about it as she seemed to be regularly commenting and liking things on his Facebook . We are both in our early forties . He swore they were doing nothing but catching up on old times but My spider senses told me there was more to it . I’ve asked him about her a lot and he says I’m over reacting and that she’s just someone different to talk to . She lives a four hour drive from him so not local . Yesterday while staying st his I couldn’t bare it and did the worst thing ever . I checked his phone . I’m not proud but what I saw made me feel sick 😢 They’ve been having an affair . It started off as just constant messaging that went back months . She’d been sending him sexy pictures of herself and he’d been confiding in her . He’d been ringing her every day . About three months ago he told me he was going to visit family but he had in fact been to see her . The messages after we’re talking about their feelings for each other and how he had never felt like this about anyone . He had told her back in the summer that we were over and just friends now ! Last weekend he said he was going to visit his parents and told me he was going to catch up with her . I was very upset but he said I was over reacting . I heard nothing from him all weekend . On his phone there were constant messages beteeen them after the weekend where they basically admitted to being in love with each other and were talking about where things would go from here . Lots of I miss you texts and two hour long phone calls . I feel absolutely broken . I realise it’s game over for me as they are obviously working out their future wrt their distance etc . I’m here now and he’s gone to work . I know I need to tell him it’s over but do I tell him I stopped ? I feel physically sick and devastated 😞
