I kicked out OH 1week ago after finding out he had been having an affair for 1 year. We had been together for 15 and married 7. We have a 6 year old. We have a mortgage as got our first house 1 1/2 yrs ago. He asking how much he should pay. How am I meant to know? I may no longer be able to afford the house and may not get re mortgaged on my own!!! I may have to uproot my child and move 200miles away to be with family for support and be able to live. Houses down south I will not afford on my own wage. 😪😪😪😪😪

There are maintenance calculators online that are easy to use. It should give you an idea

I would get some legal advice if I were you, esp with regard to the house. Also keep in mind (someone will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong), child maintenance will tell him the absolute minimum that he should pay. At the end of the day what he gives to you and your child is up to him (as long as it's equal or more to the minimum legal requirement). If he's a decent person he will give whatever he can manage, to keep his child comfortable and minimise disruption to their life.
