How to prepare emotionally for him meeting someone else

My DH and I have separated again but it will be for good this time, I have learnt the hard way that he will never change his manipulative, controlling ways.

I know it's the right decision but I need practical advice on how to build a wall or prepare emotionally for when I find out he has met someone else. I know I shouldn't care but I'm only human!

Thanks

Feel sorry for him. If he really is an emotionally abusive git then you have to pity that he will never really know what love feels like no matter who he meets. He could not find it with you because he is incapable. You who sounds lovely. He stands no chance. I pity my narc ex. He's an empty shell of a human who will never know his daughter's love.

That's how you prepare

Agree with Jeaux, I'm in the same boat. I don't know if I've prepared myself for if/when that happens but I think the way I feel towards my abusive ex, I honestly wouldn't care and would probably pity the woman he ends up with. I don't think it will last if he did get with someone and if it did his future woman must be blessed with the patience of a saint and a skin as thick as an elephants.

People like him don't and won't change, they just find people who they think will put up with their behaviour so as deflect all the stunts they pull.

You'll find happiness without him OP. Focus on that and the rest should fall into place Smile
