I was just wandering what ways husband proposed? Was it cute and romantic? Or rushed and didn't feel special?

Also, is it weird if the girl asks the boy? I've been thinking of different ways haha x

It really Isn't weird if you ask Op. if that's what you want, take control & ask him.

I think the relationship & what's going on within it, are far more important than some flamboyant proposal but, everyone will have a differing view on that

DH proposed on New Years Day while we were both massively hungover & sitting on the sofa watching TV. He went "I actually have an extra Christmas present for you" and pulled out a load of photo's he'd had done of our time together - the last one was just some text over a black background with the words "Now I have a question to ask you" and I looked up and he was holding a ring going "will you marry me?". It was beautiful but not showy or flamboyant and it was just perfect for us!
Basically, everyone's different. If it's right for you to ask rather than him then do it!

I asked my DH and it certainly wasn't romantic!

We'd just had an argument and were laid in sofas on opposite sides of the room in stoney silence.

I was so angry and thought he was such a wanker, but when I glared over at him in fury, I realised that I never wanted to be without him in my life so I went over, got on one knee and told him just that and then asked if he'd marry me.

I firmly believe that the best partnerships are forged and should be measured in the tough times, not when you get swept away I never romance when things are easy.

We have been together 23 years now. Smile

My partner and I used to buy kinder eggs - he'd always let me choose which one and he always got the better surprise.
One day (in the kitchen) my surprise was my engagement ring. He'd steamed open the egg, then rewrapped it 😊
