Learning to love yourself and building your self esteem help please

For various reasons for the last 24 years of my life, I've lurched from one unsuitable relationship / marriage to another - low self esteem, difficult childhood being the top reasons.
I'm now at a stage in my life where I'm single and as uncomfortable as it is am having to learn to love myself and find out who I really am and what I really want (I think that sounds rather deep) or I know I'll just get in to another unsuitable relationship.
I've gradually been listening to meditations and talks (Tony Robbins, Oprah Winfrey and a few others) on Youtube as I find this easier than reading on the subject to help me.
I've also been trying a few new activities on own as a challenge for myself.
Does anyone else have any suggestions or examples of what has helped them improve their self esteem and be braver in life?
Thanks for any help.

If you are looking into meditation you might enjoy yoga. I really recommend Texan Adriene Mischler yogawithadriene.com and on you tube. There are loads of easy videos from 10- 50 mins - spending time for yourself and switching off from everything else. Enjoy being on your own and having the freedom to do what you want. Best of luck X
