'so what... big deal' BUT...

after being in a financially and emotionally abusive relationship for the past three years I am finally in charge of my own finances!

he has no access!
I received my first child tax payment today as a single claimant & it hasn't been transferred straight out!!

I feel liberated. just sayinggrin

Fab news , mine too the csa have got my ex and he has to pay more than I thought . His new wife won't be impressed

killpeppa Wed 06-Nov-13 22:08:43

Molly- Christmas must be looking a bit brighter in your housesmile

next on the list is a house- I've one to view tomorrow with my darling mother. quite excited at the prospect as I canny face exH coming and going when he pleases from here ATM ( staying at his mums-only for a monthhmm)

CogitoErgoSometimes Thu 07-Nov-13 07:22:40

Great feeling, isn't it? FWIW you don't have to let the ex come and go as he pleases. If you tell him to stay away and he refuses to listen there are ways around it, especially if there's a divorce underway. Have you taken legal advice?

TiredDog Thu 07-Nov-13 07:25:37

Yeah! Fab isn't it

killpeppa Thu 07-Nov-13 09:19:38

we can't divorce yet as the law in NI is that you have to be married 2 years until you can apply for divorce and we have only just been married one. FFS.
he cheated 9 months in btw.
