H woke me up last night...

...for sex, which is not unusual. I generally get in the mood really quickly in those circumstances, I suppose because while he's not certain if I'm awake or not, it's all about me. (And while I'm still half asleep I'm quite happy with that.)

Last night, though, I noticed that as soon as I was awake enough to pay some attention to him, there was a total switch so that it was all about him. Which, ok, might be fair given what I was happy with just before, but did feel rather abrupt. He got really into things and I got less and less so. He had a great time, but with very little help from me IYSWIM. Afterwards he was a bit embarrassed and I wasn't much help, really, as I could see why and I think I was starting to feel annoyed for being woken up!

He does have a tendency to be a bit self-absorbed, in and out of the bedroom, but I felt this took it to a new level. I'm wondering if this seems ok to others?

Have you spoken to him about it? It sounds like it would be a good idea.

Each to their own but if I was being woken for sex on a regular basis by another person rather than it being mutual wakings or sometimes one and sometimes the other, I would be wondering how much of a partner deserving of respect I was and how much a convenience for him to get his end away. Sleep is quite important to our well being after all.

Oh yeah been here. DP used to wake me and literally clamber on top and start shagging, horrible and grim :( he was asleep though but could half remember the next day and would be embarrassed.

Whenever he tries it now I just stop him and say no because there's nothing in it for me so I would rather sleep.

Would be nice to be woken by something nice for me, but that never happened.
