I almost didn't want to write this down, (don't want to see it in black and white, makes it more real)...

I haven't got any children, I've been with my partner for 2 years, we haven't had sex for 2 months and before that we hadn't done it for ages, I don't really mind but I was wondering if it's is a vital part of an adult relationship?

I don't drink or smoke, I go to the gym most days, I eat a nutritious diet.
We have started to, then when I ask him to put on a condom he just looses interest. (I have tried coil/pill-my hormones don't take kindly to being messed with!)
I am very scared of getting pregnant because I am very passionate about how I would want to bring children in to the world and want to wait until I get my degree before I put my all into my children.

I just don't feel sexy and this doesn't really bother me but somehow sex made me feel closer to him as we used to do it a lot when we first got together.
I do love him as he does me and we are very kind to each other, go walking together, gym, we really enjoy each others company.

Maybe we're just in a rut, I don't know how to get out of it- any help appreciated.

Thanks for reading

Is sex vital - probably not but it is pretty important to many people, and I'd say if its fizzled out at 2 years into a relationship and you're still very young then thats at alarm bell levels.

Can you get him to talk about it/ go to counselling/ etc? If not, you have to decide whether you want to spend the rest of a long life sans sex. My view at your age would be that there are many more decent fish in the sea and most of them will want (a lot of) sex well past 2 years into a relationship.

And don't have kids until you've finished studying and this is sorted out!
