And no synopses on line any more that I can find, just listen agains. So would somebody kind let me know:
What exactly happened to Chris? He got kicked by a horse but what did it do - break ribs, puncture lungs...? Was this after Alice had had her interview? Was she on her way home or did she have to dash back early? Were they on bad terms at the airport?
What happened to turn Mike from no you can't have any more money to printing out jolly leaflets with Ed?

Thanks

Alice went for interview, frosty parting at airport. Chris drowned his sorrows, humungous hangover, forgot his Health&Safety, got kicked by horse. Forget name of injury - floating something - bits of ribs detached, also lung problems, also something else internal (ruptured intestine?). So Chris was in ICU, in danger of being deaded. Meanwhile Alice had interview, got told of accident. For reasons best known to scriptwriters, it took her days and days to get back from that far-flung part of the Empire known as Canada. Nation holds its breath to see if he dies before Alice returns.
Happy ending: she got back, he wasn't dead, she got offered job and a month to accept/reject. Both of them waiting for other to raise the thorny subject. Even more happy ending as they eventually talk and realise that mutuality, co-operation and respect for each other's career is the most important thing (compare and contrast with the Sausage King).

Ed got a new-fangled thing called a computer programme, recommended by ace herdsperson Roooth. Shows the numbers to Mike who swallows it all without question. Agree to: Ed raises price to Mike by penny/litre, Mike raises price to customer by penny/pint. The difference pays for marketing drive.

Thank you. I am entirely up to speed now. Take it Chris and Alice haven't yet made the big decision?
"Does every sentence have to have sausages in" is my favourite line this year :)

(I heard the bit where he had a computer programme, and heard him asking Mike for pre money again, only Mike said definitely no. Did showing him the figures on a screen make all that difference?)

Yes, they kissed and made up Thursday. Chris said to Alice that he would go to Canada. She said good - because now I can volunteer to turn it down instead of you forcing me to give it up. They both agreed that something like this could be a possibility some day, just not now.

Did showing him the figures on a screen make all that difference?

Would a computer lie to you?Wink Moike has clearly never heard of GIGO.
