I had a feeling in my water it was going to happen tonight! Trying to catch us anawares after the build-up to the drama of Friday night's meeting.

Pleeease can I be Tony's scriptwriter. The obvious answer to the complaint that Tony's delay in buying polytunnels would have an adverse affect on Tom's profits is "WELL YOU GO AND CHUFFING BUY THEM THEN!Angry"

I am currently having a lot of Angry Archers moments. I need therapy.Blush

Grin are you doing your "I was right" dance?

Anyone else worry for a min that it was going to be a double drama with Nic, Will & kids with fireworks Hmm Confused

I know! DP's first words on coming through the door after work at 7.20 last night were 'well, you were right!'. Grin

Tom apparently to be 'beset by remorse' tonight. Can't wait. Little prick.

I hope Tom is so beseted that he leaves to farm in thr depths of China !

Report
Salteena · 29/02/2012 18:20

It obviously had to happen - they were laying it on with a trowel! Not only the appalling Sausage King, but the equally appalling Pat being so horrible to Tony when he wouldn't go to the meeting. Gaah!

(Memo to self: must stop getting so worked up over The Archers!)

So where was Peggy this evening? Not a mention of her...!

Report
TheOriginalSteamingNit · 29/02/2012 19:21

Also where is Lilian, or have I missed something?

I will learn from this, and never make my father (who says he has a sneaking sympathy with Tony Archer, can't think why... Hmm) do all the milking. Or fill his home with squaking babies called Rowan.

it was a bit like reading a patient information leaflet though... they do this then they do that...

ok, heard it now....heart attack
was it in the middle of a big row or something? did Tom do hands only CPR?

Report
Panzee · 29/02/2012 22:19

That would have been brilliant. With the CPR app shouting "Too deep!" I think Tom could pull off the high pitched "Stayin' Alive". :O

Ghastly scene with Jennydarling where she asked for reconciliation after she'd been such a stuck up cow (would do well in the mega dairy) for the past year.

yeah but worth that for the scene of BRIAN doing the veg. boxes with Helen!!!!! Brilliant!

Arg - just listening my way through the omnibus. Why has no one committed violent pepper inspired acts against that Tom fecker?

Report
Panzee · 04/03/2012 21:08

I have just listened to the omnibus. One person is off sick and Tom needs 10 extra people to help????!!!!

Report
Shallishanti · 04/03/2012 21:52

just proves how much Tony was doing!

Why am I only just hearing this? Is the omnibus podcast a week behind?

mrsjavierbardem · 05/03/2012 00:18

It was so obvious wan't it, they've been flagging it up for weeks.

But he's going to the big whatever on Friday the Launch or whatever it is.. yawn..... and he's going to overdo it and Everyone Will Be Very Upset except Brian who won't mind really if tony cops it.
Thank God for Brian.
I do like the strumpets trying not to gossip that's quite funny, but irritated by all the men acting like they don't gossip.
bored with Ruth's bovine passion- move on please.

ppeatfruit · 05/03/2012 13:17

Mrs.javier IMO there's going to be a lot more depth to the storyline about Brookfield's cows! a poss. reason for marital break up?

Report
mrsjavierbardem · 05/03/2012 15:26

oh that would be a relief, I can't bear Ruth, I don't blame the actress, I blame the writer, they make the women so much less real than the men imo.
Brian and David are proper characters generally where the women are so cartoonish.
Or is that just me?!

No; thinking about it, you're right to an extent although a lot of the characters male and female are a bit stereotyped, e.g. Jazzer, Jolene, Oosha, the vicar.

I wonder whats brewing for Tony now, wouldent go to the opening, bad night, asleep in the armchair, he would have got a cardiac all clear( at least for now) so maybe a depression story?, very common after sudden heart issues.
