Hi all

Missed the start and never gathered what the guy in the studio had managed to do for his son through the courts.

BBC website no help at all.

Yes, they can be slow sometimes. I also wonder why they quite often say (on a variety of programmes) that "we will be putting details on the website". Why delay? Why not have the details to hand as they are mentioned on-air? Are they afraid that we will run off to look at the computer and stop listening to the programme? It is as if the promised web links are an after-thought, only to be done if the producer remembers to tell the assistant producer who tells researcher who tells the gopher who tells the YTS. If it's not their afternoon off.Hmm

" ... if the producer remembers to tell the assistant producer who tells researcher who tells the gopher who tells the YTS. ..."

Just heard (on Media Show from 15/06) that R1/R1X has 52 staff for Newsbeat production... 30 second headlines and 15 minutes twice a day. Criticism came in because various commercial services have won Sony awards and are very slim in staff numbers by comparison...

Also that BBC News charges R2 nearly 2 million a year for writing the news script which R2 'news people' )aka announcers) then read out.
