Hi Guys,

I am thinking about getting a fiat 500 as I'm in love. But I'm also in love with the cosatto giggle 2 travel system. Will just the frame of it fit into the boot of a 500?

If not what other travel systems do you recommend to fit in?

Hi! I had a similar problem, my last 2 cars have been Fiat 500s and I love them! Tiny boot though, made it difficult when we was looking at prams but eventually we went with icandy peach, you have to take both of the back wheels off first but that's much easier that it sounds :)

Have you tried going to Mothercare and letting them try the cosato frame in your boot?

I wouldn't get a 500. I'm just replacing mine with a tipo. A 2 door car and a rear facing car seat is a nightmare

I just got rid of my fiat 500 because the boot space was too small for any of the prams I liked, and I know I wouldn't like putting in car seats etc in a 3 door as well.
It killed me admitting the fiat wasn't going to be practical once my baby arrives, but definitely the right choice

A 3 door car is a challenge with a car seat so I would recommend you look st a 5 door car.

I've had so many back & shoulder pains with my 3 door car 😩. I'm changing my car for that reason

I've got a fiat 500, only had it in May (it's my 3rd one though & I love them) but I'm now pregnant. I don't think I can afford to swap it just yet though so I'm stuck with it (as brilliant & affordable as it is) I'd love to swap it for a 500X. We have gone for a mutsy igo they fold up small and I saw a pic on instagram of 1 in the boot of the 500 convertable which has a tiny boot but think that's with the wheels off. They do ping off very easy but can imagine it's too much of a faff if your alone out & about with baby! Haven't actually tested it yet because we haven't picked it up but hopefully it's ok till I can swap my car.

If you have a three door car, get an extended rear facing seat that swivels. Like the cybex sirona. Then it can be swivelled forward to get baby in and out, then just turn back for driving. Far easier than a baby clip in and out seat which would be a nightmare getting in and out. You want one that just stays in.

I was put off getting another swivel erf car seat after the problems with the nuna rebl and having to get it replaced. So now I'm changing my 500 instead

The cybex is a well known brand having passed both european and Swedish car seat tests. We had no issues in 5 years use. They have been making car seats for years in Germany. The nuna was a new unknown brand

It's so annoying that I went to a specialist erf car seat centre and both times they never recommended the cybex sirona

Loved my fiat 500 but had to get rid. Could just about fit my Mamas & Papas Zoom in but only once wheels were off. Aside from that was a nightmare getting baby in to back seat. I've got a Nissan Juke now!
