Mini city Jogger or Maclaren XLR?

Hi everyone,

I decided on these two as I live up a few stairs and in London, I want light-weight and easy to fold.

But I keep going between the two for my New born!

I will get a carry carrycot for the one I chose!

Any advice please!

Thanks

City mini couldn't be easier to carry up the stairs with a baby in the other arm!

Where will you be keeping it upstairs? The city mini is a flat shape so would be good if you have somewhere like down the side of a sofa!

I've had both, and I'd say definitely the Baby Jogger. It's so simple to fold, you just pull the strap in the middle of the seat and then this becomes the carry handle, so you are left standing there with the pram in your hand. With the Maclaren you're going to have to fold it and then bend down to pick it up with the handle on the side. It's easier to carry the 'flat square' shape of the folded Baby Jogger than the 'long thin' folded shape of the Maclaren, especially if you are on public transport and don't want to be bashing people in the shins!

Both prams have a decent hood too, but again the Baby Jogger just has the edge I think!

My youngest child is nearly 4, I recently sold my Baby Jogger City Mini but am clinging onto the Maclaren Quest that I have left. DD2 is very petite though, so she easily fits in the Quest and if she's tired we use it and don't get any funny looks! I'm giving it to my cousin after Easter through, DD2 goes to school in September so I need to let go at some point soon!

I can't stand pushing my sister's Maclaren, it's so bloody annoying when you are used to the Babyjogger. And their feet seem to dangle out of the end when they are toddlers.

Thanks everyone!

Yes will be keeping it in my maisonette as I have my own entrance with external stairs.

The 'square fold' of the baby jogger does look better. Will fold up in hallway under coat hooks!

I think I'm the only person who hates the city mini!

I found it really awkward to push and ended up hunched over it or walking alongside pushing it with one hand- neither of which did my back any good! it was also really heavy to get up kerbs

Swapped it for an XLR which I love!
