Bugaboo Chameleon vs Mutsy 4 Rider Light

Any opinions on this?
Very close to buying the Mutsy as it has consistent reviews (albeit not many) but we can't find it anywhere to physically test out!

The Mutsy 4 rider light is okay - very nicely built but the chassis is short from front to back and it's a little hard to get up and down kerbs....a great alternative (unless you're short) would be the uppababy vista - it's lighter - has a longer lasting larger seat unit (my 3y old could not sit in the Mutsy anymore as his head would touch the hood top!) than both the Mutsy and the Bugaboo.
I had issues with the Bugaboo - in that the seat stitching came ondone after only 4 months use and that the basket developed a big hole (frayed away from part where attached to chassis) despite not having been overloaded. Bugaboo did replace both parts but I lost confidence in the quality and durability of the product so sold it.
I think the Uppababy seat is ergonomically more comfortable than the Mutsy and the mutsy also has NO suspension at all - so is quite a hard ride.
So, as a self-confessed pram addict - I'd say neither of the two you are looking at are as good as the Uppababy Vista - which I think is the best pram around. It is quite tall - so if you're petite you might prefer the bugaboo - but personally I think they're overpriced and not as good - both in quality and functionality of the uppababy vista.

Hi, have you looked at the mima xari, they are a tad more than the bugaboo, but it is the most easiest pushchair i have ever pushed, it is stunning, very well made, i also have the cameleon and i much prefer the xari, for the following reasons:
the handlebar is so much nicer, its at a better angle
the seat and carrycot are higher and you have the choice of having it higher or lower
it does have the option of folding in one piece ff

the fabric the seat is made of is wipe clean
not many people have them so a real head turner
suspension is just fab
they are very well made. not a patch on bugaboo
all in all it is the best pushchair i have ever owned, i am also a pram addict and have had many
i don't like the mutsy seat at all

How are the pushchairs on rough terrain? We are right by the forest and I envision quite a few long walks.

none of them would be good for rough terrain,only bumpy paths, gravel, cobbles, grass, marked out tracks with no deep ruts and deep mud etc, but for true off roading i would get a second hand mountain buggy.

i say second hand as the pre 2010 ones seem better made, they are pre phil and teds taking over

i have used my Mutsy daily for 4 years. love it.
in its favour it's dead comfy for baby, big enough for a 2 almost 3 year old to nap in, has 'non puncturable' wheels (a big plus) love it, can't recommend it more highly.
