Is the bugaboo cameleon footmuff worth the money?

Thinking ahead now DS2 is in the pushchair.
Is the footmuff worth the high price tag?
If you don't use one then what do you use?
Have also been looking at the Wallaboo footmuffs.
Also if you use a footmuff then does it mean your DC gets too hot in a snowsuit?

TIA

Sorry, this is going to be a completely unhelpful and irrelevant reply, but I just saw your thread after reading the "AIBU to call my dd's vagina her vagina" thread, and now think that bugaboo chameleon footmuff would be the most fantastic euphemism.
Grin Blush Sorry. As you were.

I think it is actually. A decent footmuff costs a bit anyway but this one does have some good features.

It is a really cosy footmuff, ds2 was warm as toast in it over the winter when he came out the carrycot, he didn't need a snowsuit and it zips up to right under the chin if you want it to or you can button it back and it zips to the waist.
Also the was it fits to the seat is fab, it hooks over the back and also over the seat pad where the babies bum goes so it stays right where it is. I have actually ripped the strap holes in other footmuffs because it slips down but because of how this one fits onto the Bugaboo it is good.

Yes it is IMO I had a few ones with ds1 but none of them fit as well or seemed as good quality as the bugaboo one I have for ds 2

That said I'm getting a custom made one from snunkie as they make them to fit the seat and I can choose the fabric :)

Yes I agree with others - definitely worth the money. Fits well, washes well, cosy (def don't need a snowsuit).

Also - good re-sale value on eBay etc once you're finished with it.

Agreed with all the rest. Great, warm, good resale value, and looks great too.

they are good, but we also used a buggy snuggle one which worked great and looked fab - was newer style one as they have the hookover back

Grin @ fluffyanimal

Oh bum, you were all supposed to tell me it was no better than one that cost £20 I'll have to buy one!
Have been bidding on a few on Ebay but some of the price are really high!
Next question is it best to get the universal or the specific Cam one?

Yes it is fab.

DS1 used it for two winters, I have just washed it ready to go back on for DS2 in a couple of months and it is still like new.
