Sooooooo

Our first buyer pulled out close to exchange.
We accepted offer £25k less because we didn't want to lose house of our dreams which had had bargain offer accepted.

Vendor pulls out after we had exchanged on our sale leaving us to find somewhere to rent with our 3yo and 6 week old baby.

So looks like we sold at the very bottom of the market and can't find anywhere to buy as no-one is selling anything and those

and - OUR LANDLORD WANTS HIS FUCKING HOUSE BACK

as soon as our 6 month lease is up in November, so we have to move again.

have had offer turned down on the only house we have seen that we like and we're reluctant to go up anymore just in case prices start going down again next year.

Can someone please find any upside at all in our situation?

We've still got our health I suppose.

...go travelling to enjoy your freedom from mortgage?

rent somewhere wildly unsuitable, cos it's just 6 months...?

feel yr pain fruitstick

happened to us with buyer pulling out - alas not so close to the exchange and not with all the other stuff

very rotten - specially yr vendor pulling out

cling to hope that there's an even lovelier fruitstick shaped house somewhere and will be the best in long run. Think about all the dreadful things you didn't really notice about the 1st house you wanted but overlooked.. go on there must be some

How awful. I'm not sure what to suggest other than find another place to rent and just keep trawling the ea for new properties. You are in a strong position now and someone is out there waiting for you to come and see their house and like your position. Its just a case of finding them.
