We are moving to our new house this weekend and plan on decorating childrens bedroom first. I always seem to go for the easy option as I never find a colour which I love...cream/white walls (despite trying a million and one testers!)but want to make their room more fun. I'm after a unisex theme as DS & DD want to share (maybe jungle/ocean) but am completely stuck on which colour to paint the walls.

Its a 1950's house and a big, light bedroom. I would really appreciate any suggestions.

hmm well first you need to choose your theme, then you can do the walls.

ie, if you do jungle then a green, ocean, then go for blue

actually jojomamanbebe do stuff like this HUGE Elmer stick-on which I think is ace.

so you could do the cream/white walls and then do a giant elmer, and other stuff on it. maybe paint some trees on if you're vaguely creative?
or do another wall with some bright coloured squares on or something?

paint the wals white, then paint large sqaures / triangle / rectangles on the walls in blues / lime green / oragne / pink and then whatever you put in will work and it wont date (ie they grow out of elemer , no offence) use the shapes as frames for pictures they do at school and change them round every so often.
pick a fun carpet, purple maybe !! its all the rage in the style section!, dark , wont show stains, and mixes boy and girl.

then dress their beds with whatever theme they want and it should blemd.
plain blind on window. paint the architraves and doors too dont leave them bare wood.
