Have gone through nasty break-up, am getting sick of my home town, really want to move towns and start a-fresh, BUT would it be stupid to do it now?

I have my heart set on moving to the outskirts of my nearest (small) city, i want to be by the sea and live somewhere that isnt as claustrophobic as the town im in now. The place i want to move to also has the Uni i need to go to to do my teacher training, so it would mean no travelling. My kids are excited about the prospect.

Had truly horrible year, split with my ex and he got someone else pg etc, i really want to move and start a brand new life.

But with houses not selling, i cant follow my dream, can i? Or should i try any way?
Did have my house on market last year for 5 months, got great feedback, they all loved it so much etc etc, but not ONE offer.
The estate agents were baffled too.

could you rent out your house and rent somewhere to live for you and dcs?

hmm, could do. But the rents in the place i want to move to are so high, much higher than my mortgage.

Could you sell and invest the sales proceeds and use the interest to make up the difference?
