What colour is your bathroom and kitchen?

We are finally getting round to painting our kitchen and bathroom.

Thinking v.pale blue for kitchen and beige (one of the many shades) for bathroom. Bit worried beige will just look dirty on the walls...

I have a beigy colour on my bathroom walls - natural hessian its called. It looks nice with a white bathroom suite and stone coloured floor and tiles.

My kitchen - eek - we are about to paint it raspberry pinky to go with cream tiles, oak units and granite worktops and black tiled floor [scared] - at the moment its cream but it looks so dull

Kitchen are 3xwhite and 1xlilac
Bathroom very soft pink (blossom white I think) vauely beigey pick colour (IMHO pink looks "cleaner" than beige ( I have beige floors and stone coloured tiles.

blimey how do you keep a black kitchen floor clean

its not solid black - its more charcoal - porcelein tiles. I have a black dog so i had to go black for the ktichen floor!

Our kitchen has white walls and red tiles!

Our bathroom is manky - pink suite, horrible 70's tiles with randow flowers in some of them and one wall tiled with cork! .
It is a work in progress at the mo!

Kitchen matt willow green walls, cream units,wood worktops,slate ( dark grey) floor tiles. bathroom, matt raspberry walls, freestanding bath = no tiles, clear perspec spash back behind sink,slate floor tiles

Have almost the same as MamaG. Kitchen has black floor, cream walls, oak units (but not granite work tops). And the bathroom walls are natural hessian colour with same floor as kitchen, white suite and big white tiles with 'pebble' border tiles. Love the natural hessian colour - warm looking. Less keen on the cream kitchen - bit batchelor pad for me. Neither look dirty (except maybe the floors...)

The cream tiles go more than h alfway up the walls, so it would only be about 3 feet all the way around

MamaG - you should definitely paint your kitchen raspberry pink. My kitchen units are scarlet and, if I ever move again, my dream kitchen will be lime. Banish the beige .

Having said that, my bathroom is tiled with large, cream-coloured tiles - I wanted it to be light and I find white just a bit sterile. My kitchen and bathroom floors are both tiled black.

bathroom - cream walls, white tiling, white suite, creamish flooring. (It's very small so anything darker feels really claustrophobic!)

Kitchen - terracotta blinds and a paler shade of the same on the walls. Lighter floor, white appliances, units etc.

Of course, you wouldn't tell any of this because it's all covered in sticky muddy little finger marks!!

oh, my sister has a black, white and blood-red kitchen - with chrome bits too!!! It looks fabbo, but I'd never have the balls myself!

MamaG - YES! Of course you should! Ours is only staying neutral because this is not my dream home, and I'm going to need to sell it to someone once this house crisis thingy passes. Go with bright, it's so much more cheerful (fond memories of lovely green and yellow kitchen in last house)

Bathroom: 1829 'Dried plaster' on some walls with a pale blue colourwash (made up of several shades)on the rest. Room has a Roman theme.

Kitchen: 1829 Tang yellow on walls, cherry wood floor, bright orange splashback. Units are v dark coloured oak (base) & stainless steel (wall). Dining area is bright orange to match the splashback.

Natural hessian is a nice shade, we tried it for the kitchen but needed something brighter. A duck egg blue looks lovely in a kitchen.

Farrow & Ball do some lovely subtle shades. They are ££ but worth it I think.

black floor tiles, white wall tiles, white kitchen cuboards with black granite effect worktop

white bathroom suite and will be getting black toilet seat, over sink cuboard/cabinet and black accessories/decorations.

micci, dunno if it's your thing but one or two striking red focal points (eg vase/glasses/toaster even) would look stunning with a b&w kitchen!

Kitchen is tiled in shiny black tiles and walls painted lime green

Bathroom French Grey (green really) from FArrow & Ball.

Kitchen units cream, travertine flooring, walls Saxon Green (like a pea green) from Farrow & Ball, gorgeous!

White everywhere. No real option as we live in a city flat and the loos and bathrooms are really dark (windows onto courtyards) and the kitchen was designed to house a slave so small window with bars
