We have been in rented waiting to buy and had an offer accepted 2 weeks ago real bargain nice house lovely road etc.Now the house i really loved but we couldn't afford has slashed it price by loads and we could afford it.Something tells me to be satisfied but don't want to regret it.

put an offer in, see what happens, withdraw current offer only after survey has been done on new house

I bet he will be pleased!
Surely
what does he have to be angry about?

oh crumbs!

can you go and see the house you love again tonight, or first thing tomorrow?

even better, view the both?

sometimes, one viewing leaves you with an image better than you thought it was initially....

oh go for the one you love if you possibly can, especially if you think you could live there longer (the costs of moving are SO enormous). Head and heart could be together on this one!

I know you feel bad for them, but living in a place when the one you love was an option just so you don't hurt their feelings?

Think about it logically.

On a roll this week - I am breaking up relationships and stopping house sales left n right

Oh dear, but oh good!

If you can afford the dream house, then you have to consider it. You will spend the rest of your time going past it wondering what if otherwise...

I would view the dream house again, with the mindset that you have this other house in the bag, and see if it still appeals so much.

What about the practicalities - work needing doing, garden size, proximty to facilities, parking. Could any of those help you decide?

I agree with mellyonion, go with the heart, but make sure you have all the info.

Good luck with it!

You are mad if you don't go for it! You can't go and live somewhere simply to avoid hurting a total strangers feelings for a bit!

you really should go and re look at your dream house. you owe it to yourself.

be a little selfish about it...it may be the cherry on the cake of your future happiness....not the be all and end all, but make that little difference......look at it long term...surely a small inconveinience or hiccup now is far better than having a nagging doubt a few weeks down the line.

ok have sent dp text saying we need to talk tonight. We have just had a week on our own without ds and so can't use sex to convince him as we have both admitted we have had enough of that and are knackered this week.So will make his fave dinner and make an appt to view house.

You have to be heartless when it comes to house-buying - by which I mean selfish, rather than not following your hearts.

Take DP to see the dream house, if he hasn't already - and cross everything that he falls for it as well.

As for the people with the other one - it's only been two weeks - if they have any sense they are not counting any chickens yet.
