Planning Permission -- Increase Gate Height

Struggling with planning permission so thought I'd post on a few forums for any advice. I'm currently renovating my 1970s semi-detached house and looking to install an electric gate and castled brick wall to house it, providing a secure perimeter. I'm filling out a form on the planning portal but cannot seem to identify what it falls under. Namely householder planning, full planning, outline planning, prior approval etc but none of the sub-categories seem to mention gates/perimiter/fencing etc.

What currently sits at the front of the house is a one foot tall wall housing a hedge, with the new wall being just over five and a half foot at the highest points (castled sections). The electric gate would be fitted on the backside of the brick pillars, leaving a foot or two space.

Has anyone fitted an electric gate and supporting wall to their homes and have any advice? I don't live in a conversation area but most of the houses have no or little fences/gates on my street. Very open plan, however my semi-detached neighbour has a seven foot+ hedge adjoining my five foot hedge. I have a driveway that is double width of a regular semi-detached house (that's being brick paved if anyone has any advise with that) so provides enough space for me to warrant an electric gate.

Have recently done the same. It's householder permission. A lot on the form is irrelevant. Just complete the bits you need.
We got planning for a 13ft high fence and gate due to being on a busy road / intruders. Cost about £300 in fees from memory. X

Thank you. Did you submit the plans yourself or use a planning consultancy? I’m planning on asking a family friend to proof read the information and location/renovation plans in case they’re wrong, worried it will be rejected if any errors are present. My plans are for a 1.6 metre high castled wall with 1.5 metre high electric fence so not quite as large as yours. Sounds like you have privacy nailed to a T x
