Renting in Hove with a family - which streets would you go for?

We’ve been looking all over for somewhere to relocate to outside of London (and are still looking inside of London!).

But, after spending some time in Hove this week, are starting to narrow our list down and this is high up on it.

I’m looking at Rightmove at rentals and honestly don’t know where is a good place to start. If you had a family, would you locate yourselves near the beach? Or up by Hove Park? Or even on the Poets Corner side?

DH will be commuting into London a day or two a week, max, so a cycle away from the station doesn’t really matter.

Where would you choose with kids? I have noticed gardens are non-existent closer to the beach. I love having a garden (!), but does this not matter as you’re so close to the sea?

As an ex Hoveresident, any of those three options will serve you well with kids. Depends on age group you've also got Wish Park (Aldrington rec), and Stoneham park that service all areas when the beach is too windy. Good luck, Your'll be happy whichever you choose. Xxx

Thank you!! My kids are young, so things that would appeal to little ones. I’m looking to escape the london pollution and get some good fresh air, too!

There aer gardens in Ardlington some and a great High St with seveal kids' shops, cafes etc.
We stayed in Titian Rd off Portland rd (Ardlington, near Stoneham park) last summer for a while - short walk to the sea but also good transport - it was chilled out and lovely!

It's between the High St and two blocks from the seafront, meant to say.

Thanks, cat! Having a look for that on a map now. Were there lots of families there, would you say?
