Nightmare neighbours... CCTV recommendations?

Can anyone please recommend CCTV I can buy online for less than £100? The neighbours kids have been playing around my car again and left me a lovely big scratch. Last time it happened I saw it happen and the parents agreed to pay to repair, this time although I know they've been out, I didn't see it happen so I'll be footing the bill

I'd prefer one that links to my phone as I don't have a computer to view on but open to any ideas.

I've signed up to Mumsnet just to answer this. The absolute best one I've had is a Blink XT2 from Amazon. It's motion activated and records sound. It has night vision and is battery powered so no plugging in. It's viewed through an app.

This is night and day. There is also night vision which is black and white but I think it's better used in darkness rather than under street lighting like mine is.

It also allows you to talk through it. Like a Ring doorbell. There's a bit of a lag but it's still very useful.

Is your car parked on your pŕoperty? If not there is legislation you would need to adhere to.

Swann systems are easy to install and can easily cover several areas surrounding your property, though as above there is some guidance you'll need to follow.

You can download this to your phone or any device (I think upto 4?) and it's clear footage, day and night with an interior monitor which we found very reassuring (slightly more severe behaviour sadly with adult neighbours who we used this to obtain a harassment notice and other charges successfully)

Yes it's on my drive, the problem I have is my drive is open next to parking spots belonging to other houses (new build estate) and the kids go in and out of the cars in the spaces next to my drive

It is a lovely view.
Rules on using CCTV are not the clearest. It can't be pointed directly at someone's property but their property can be caught in shot background. You can point it at a public street as long as you have reason (where you park your car). So OP can point it at her drive and even have others cars in the shot. However, you are responsible for the footage and it must be kept private.
You can use it for evidence with the authorities and can show it to the subjects it has captured (I.e the parents of the kids damaging your car)

I looked into it all last night as it may well catch the avenue depending how wide the video is but I'll be putting signs up and it'll only be checked by my husband or myself if any further damage occurs.
