Moving to Hastings - experiences?

Hi!

Me my wife and daughter (age 6) are seriously considering moving from Brighton . We are familiar with the area from a visiting perspective (we love the quirky shops , nice parks sea etc) but it would be good to get some perspective from people who live there or have moved with a young family. Any positive or negative experiences welcome!
