Did you sort garden before move?

So have exchanged and will complete next week. Have spent all day clearing out shed (mainly full of stuff left by previous owners!), emptying pots etc. Tomorrow will be touching up paintwork, filling holes from pictures etc.

But the garden is a mess. Too wet to cut the grass, leaves everywhere. I've cut a few plants back a bit but no idea quite how neat I'm supposed to leave the garden at this time of year? Will what I've done be enough?

Only exchanged late yesterday so I haven't had weeks to sort it, had thought move wouldn't be until Jan!

I guess less leaves would be good but new people are unlikely to venture outside for a few weeks anyway. More important to get the inside cleaning.

The trees are still dropping though so will maybe try and do a quick rake in the week.

Yes think I'd prefer a clean oven than a swept patio!

I wouldn't be doing things like touching up paint. Just a clear out and a deep clean. In the garden, I'd sweep the leaves (and pull out any possible weeds) but not do any pruning etc.
