doors. Help!

Well, DOOR actually, just the one.

I'm trying to find a door that will fit our understairs loo. The current door is 193.5mm x 60.5mm

I'm hoping to find a wood (unpainted) 1930s one over three panel door for this, but I'm having trouble finding any wood door to fit.

Doors that are close in size claim they can only be trimmed a certain amount on each side, usually about 8mm. This still leaves the door too large for the opening.

Hoping someone has come across a supplier of smaller doors that won't add £150 for a custom order, or take months to supply.

Thank you!

Have a look at Door Deals - they have a number of doors that are 61x198, which will likely be close enough to cut down? They have a one over three door in that size in both oak and pine.

If you can find a solid door, there's no problem reducing the dimensions, though if it's only a few mm, you can usually cut down an engineered one too.

(Hoping I've got those measurements right and am not talking total rot - I have a banging headache!)

Look an eBay for reclaimed doors - an original understairs cupboard door will probably fit.

Thank you both. Have looked on ebay, and nothing coming up near enough to us (we bought all of our other doors from ebay, I've been ahving the fun of stripping/sanding and refinishing them :-)

Will check door deals now. Thank you!

Had the carpenter in today, and looks like the door I found on door deals will work (OK to trim down a bit), so thank you whiskyowl, you saved my sanity :-)
