'Hollywood' mirror in downstairs loo.

I would love a Hollywood style mirror in our downstairs cloakroom/ loo but can't find one suitable for use in bathrooms. Has anyone done this or has any idea how it might be done? There are loads of diy tutorials online but they all seem to assume it would be for a bedroom or dressing room and part of a dressing table.

Surely steam wouldnt be an issue in a downstairs loo?? That's the only reason a special mirror is needed in bathrooms. Confused

Don't IKEA do one?

I was thinking of electrics more than anything. Lots tend to be plugged in at the mains rather than wired in. Ikea have single strips of bulbs but not a mirror with lights as a single unit.

Oh sorry I see. I want one of those too but in my bedroom . For some reason 'Hollywood mirror' made me think of a big gilt oval fancy thing, rather than lights Blush.

I know what you mean. They were popular in America in bathrooms about 20 years ago.
The voltage in America is much lower and they are allowed sockets and lighting fixtures like these. We are not as they don't comply with our electrical regulations.
As Americans say, they are "not to code"

Thanks for replies. I will have to explore further and maybe compromise a bit. Thought it might be fun for a little room.

Do you mean something like this OP? www.illuminated-mirrors.uk.com/bathroom-mirrors/hollywood-mirrors/bathroom-hollywood-mirrors.html. I've got a dressing table Hollywood mirror from this company - it is lovely. I've just ordered one for my stepdaughter as she fell in love with mine Smile.

I bought both of my Hollywood mirrors in my bathrooms from Argos- we run the wiring through the other side of the wall.

Just looked and they don't do the one I have anymore but they do have this battery powered on which would solve any power issues.
