Advice on which ovens to buy! Two or one??

We are having an extension to our kitchen and are now planning in the applicances. I am such a noodle when it comes to which appliances we will need and would love some advice. We already have a fully functioning, built in microwave which we will be keeping but I am thinking about having two, full sized single ovens in a tower to give more ability to cook foods at different temperatures, and perhaps grill when I'm cooking something else in the oven. I would really, really appreciate any tips in what oven combination has worked best for people (2 x single ovens, double oven and something else etc) as I don't want to make an expensive mistake! We use our grill a lot, and I often have to cook two different meals (fussy DCs) so can see that having two ovens would be a benefit. I'd also be grateful for any recommendations for brands. Thank you! We also need a dishwasher so any advice there would be brilliant.

I went for 2 full sized neff ovens stacked above each other, the top one has a slide n'hide door to make access better, the bottom one has a regular one. I have a standalone combination microwave.

I had a double oven before but the second oven wasn't quite big enough when doing lots of cakes or a big family roast.

I'm glad I went for the choice of 2 and they look very smart.

If I had the space / money I'd have a built in double oven with grill and a separate oven.

At the moment I've got a stand alone cooker with a double oven with the top oven being a combi grill/oven. While I like it, the top oven is too small for some things like a roast or pizza so limits what I can cook for big family meals. I'd love a separate oven so I could cook things at different temperatures at the same time and just have more cooking space.

Just saw you wanted dishwasher recommendations too. We have a Miele built in dishwasher and although it was expensive it was worth every penny. It's fab at cleaning, quiet and has lasted well, we brought it from our old house and refitted it here in the new kitchen

We have 2 single ovens but side by side. The reason (generally) why double ovens are popular, as opposed to 2 ovens stacked above one another is the height. If you have the top one at a comfortable height, then the bottom one is a bit too low. Similarly in the bottom one is OK, the top one is too high. As wonky says, the hide & slide feature might help with ease of access.

I would just check the height works for you before ordering.

Brand wise, I have Neff and think they're fab.

For reference with the slide & hide door I can reach to use the top oven and I'm only 4'11, I don't think it would work otherwise.

Thank you so much, everyone, this is really helpful. Wonky, what model is your Miele dishwasher? Quiet is key for me, so I'd like to look at whatever it is you've got! I also really like the idea of having the hideaway door on the Neff Oven so will look into that. I think two single ovens is definitely going to be the way forward for me. I have had a double oven for years and just couldn't get the smaller oven to cook anything. It always ended up steaming stuff, for some reason. Great grill, though.
