Tiling costs per metre

Can anyone give me an idea of tiling costs per metre for a kitchen (large area, not fiddly shaped, we're supplying the 60×60 porcelain tiles) ? We're in the east of England.

TIA

I'm in Norfolk, £25 per metre plus VAT plus materials is the norm.

Thanks just. I've been quoted £45/m (including adhesive and VAT). For 60m2 this adds up !

We're paying about 30/sqm including all except tiles, the quotes were all very similar. That's in london and for ceramic but we're changing to porcelain, he's said it will go up but I'm hoping not by too much

I'd definitely get more quotes. I'd bear in mind though, that such large tiles are fiddlier + porcelain needs sealing so I'd expect to pay a bit more that for 30x30 ceramic ones.

PS the adhesive for porcelain is a lot more.

We havr had porcelain tiles down for 20 years and they have never been sealed. I can't imagine why the glue would be more expensive ? Mind you we are in a country where tiles are everywhere.

The tiles don't need sealing, but the adhesive does have to be "special" (aka expensive) and then there's grout. Builder suggested £35-40 which is closer to just number....
