We bought a 1930s house a few years ago and have lived with the previous owners decor while we saved up. We are now in a position to replace the floors throughout the downstairs, carpet the stairs and decorate the main bedroom.
I have two questions:
- What order would you replace and redec?
- I'm getting either karndean or wood floor and like it where the edge of the floor meets the skirting board with no piping or beading. Do I have to remove the skirting board, replace the floor and then put new skirting back on top? Or, does the new skirting have to be in place before the floor?
I'm a fully grown adult with a demanding job but I have no clue when it comes to things like this.
Thanks!
