Our boiler packed in on Friday and we have a policy with Homeserve which insures it. They have said that we can either have £200 towards a new boiler or they will provide a new one under the policy but we have to have it fitted by their installers and this is likely to cost £700 -£1000.
The boiler we had is a Keston, who are no longer in business and they have offered an Ideal Logica as a replacement, which seems ok, but I am not sure about the fitting costs, which seem quite high. I am worried that they might be overcharging on the fitting costs to get back the additional cost of supplying a new boiler.
Has anybody any experience of this?
