Mill End (Rickmansworth) - nice area?

Hi lovely ladies,

DH and I are looking for a house with a tight budget (for London). Expecting in May, DH works at home so we need space.
Have found a couple of interesting properties that tick most boxes in Mill End. Any advice on the area? Just want to know if it's nice, safe, good nurseries/schools etc. Had a look at other areas but DH doesn't drive so this one seems v convenient and budget friendly.
