quartz worktop colour with light oak units?

What colour quartz worktop would work best with light oak units?

We were thinking dark (black, brown etc), but do not want mirror fleck, which seems to be in most of the samples we have seen. We have red/brown quarry tiles on the floor.

I personally wouldn't choose dark worksurfaces as I think they can make the room look really dark. But I am obsessed with getting light in.

Picture of light oak units please? Warmth/coolness of oak and style of units will affect choice of worktop.

IMO black granite with wood units now looks very dated. My mates were putting that in 15 years ago.

If black is your preference have you considered a Matt finish ? It's quite different ! And any LED lighting won't glare off it ! It's a warmer way of adding black in my opinion...

If you have red/brown quarry tiles, I am guessing that they are very matt and do not refelct any light at all. I was once told that the best way to make a kitchen area look larger and get light in, is to have a light floor. I know that this sounds a pain and like you would be cleaning it constantly, but I really believe it to be true. If you don't have that on your floor, then I would adopt the same thinking to the worksurfaces and go for a light colour.
