family room. stuck on paint colours

After some help ive hit a brick wall with paint colours. The house we bought was magnolia and beige throughout. This room is the Toy Room as the kids call it. Its not used much and is a mess but its time tidy it up.

Pvc windows are brown. Sofa is brown walls Magnolia fireplace tiles cream table chairs cream leather & blinds beige.
One part of the room is dark and one part really bright so paint looks really different around the room.

Colours i like are dulux dusted moss 1 and F&B Hardwick White. Just not sure with all the brown beige and creams.

Do i just stick to a lighter colour such as dulux Egyptian cotton which i know has grey beige & sometimes green undertones or go with a darker colour

Any help appreciated
Pauk

Watching with interest as I have a room with similar dimensions and I've also hit a brick wall with it!

Have you thought about blue tones? Would freshen up the brown, and can make it look quite contemporary... Ptolemy many earthy colours, for me, can look a bit old fashioned....

Looking at your room I would go for something like Crown - Toasted Almond.

I'd be tempted to go with Dulux Inky Pool 6 - it's a lovely warm colour that goes well with the browns and neutrals and is deeper than it looks.

Well I messed up. Went with Dulux Cookie crumble. On a card I painted it looked nice and light but the fireplace end is so dark it looks dreadful. A dull grey brown purple mix. The problem is the fireplace tiles. They are cream and in some light have a pink tinge so the Magnolia matches really well. Anything else I put on the wall makes the fireplace jump out CREAM!

I may well end up putting Magnolia back on. :(

Images 2 & 3 are what it looks like now.

Kayessbee I have Blue/Grey yones in the front room. F&B pavillion gray & Manor House Grey on walls. I love that room.

Bumwad The crown option looks in google images to have pink in it.
