can you repair a chip on a Belfast sink

only about 3mm but it's on the rim???
If so, what with?
if not, will it effect sink ?

here's a link to a kit for repairing sinks,If it's a really deep chip fill it with car body filler and then use the enamel supplied in this kit to restore the color
