Moving to Fareham area, Any advice?

Hi, I live in Nottingham with my DH and two kids (5,7). We are relocating down to the Fareham area due to my husbands work. It is such a huge move and we need to find a house and good school. Has anyone got any advice about which areas are nice, good schools etc. I have been looking at Ofsted reports and getting a feel for areas on rightmove but advice from people living there would be great.
