Putting a bath in a wet room!

As the title says - we'll be wanting to install a bath in a wet room soon, but the floor slopes slightly to one end obviously, no problem my OH said as the bath has 'legs' that can be adjusted, however, our 'handyman' explained that wouldn't be enough as the bath panel would be wonky, so the bathroom floor needs levelling out first. I've heard this doesn't need doing - what's right?

Why a bath in a wet room? I'd put it on a small level platform so that the bath panel is straight, or if the panel is adjustable (unlikely) you could just have it wonky. I'd go for a small platform though.

Would a freestanding bath on legs, i.e. with no bath panel, work?
