... Til we inspect the house which is going to be our family home and then exchange and complete all on the same day.

This has been so nerve racking, we were meant to have exchanged last week but tenant hadn't cleared out so now everything rests on today, the tenant having left and everything being ok. I am all jittery, we took a risk as our rental is finishing next week! Arrggghhh sorry to randomly post.

We should be completing today having exchanged on Friday. My solicitor is absolutely crap though - this is a delayed date because she forgot to submit my mortgage forms.

Good luck!!

Looks like we are going ahead, they are just cleaning it now. Hurrah! Long term family home for DS and our first family home bought together. I am soooooooo happy. Someone remind me of this when I discover the little niggles Wink we can finally unpack everything! set up the nursery properly, decorate, put up shelves and have everything where we want it :D

We have the keys and we have been in to see it :) we have 6 front door keys for some unknown reason, the dishwasher has gone missing so the solicitor is dealing with that and I have No idea what the previous occupants were up to but we have the most ridiculous deadbolt that locks to the top/bottom and side (with 4 bolts) on the front door with a steel frame! Plus 3 security cameras... For a house in a cul-de-sac... Makes me curious!!

Congratulations. Curious about the front door keys - my first job when moving in is to get the locks changed, sounds like it would be worth it for you too.

Argh, now DH has spent whole night throwing up... Need to figure out a change of plan for the day. We were meant to be shuttling boxes around in between 4.5 month DS naps... Life is never simple!
