Floors2Go - hideous experience, do not use!

Beware, beware, beware of this company. I have had so many problems with them!

When I ordered some wood flooring in January, I was told that it would take 7 days to arrive. However, due to problems with stock, it took considerably longer. At no point were the store honest with me about this, and I ended up having to rearrange the joiner (less easy than it sounds, because he is fully booked months in advance).

Then, when the wood finally turned up, it was unceremoniously dumped on the street in pallets by the delivery company. I had assumed that it would be delivered to my house like everything else I have ever ordered! This was right in the middle of that horrendous weather we had, so I couldn't leave it in the road. I had no choice but to carry every pallet of it indoors by myself. Each pack weighed kilos and kilos to the point that I could barely lift it by myself (I'm only little!). I really overstrained myself getting it all inside. If they'd explained this in advance, I could have made sure I had help on hand.

Finally, I also ordered underlay, which didn't show up with the rest of the delivery. I had to order another load from a more reliable online supplier, who delivered the next day. I still haven't had a refund of the money I've paid out for this, despite loads of phonecalls.

The late delivery and lack of underlay is very poor yes, as is the customer service, but flooring deliveries are standard to kerbside only. I'm sure it will say this on their website. In fact I've just looked and it says

"Standard delivery is made to the 'kerb side' due to insurance guidelines so please arrange for adequate help to carry goods into your property."

Also, anyone saying 'I'm only little' gets no sympathy from me. I carried 30sqm of solid oak down two flights of stairs by myself. In an hour. And I'm pregnant and 5ft 2". Don't be so wet.

Shame Struggling, that sounds like a lot of stress!

Gosh, they were great for us. We needed a floor quickly and the man in the shop brought it to our house in his own car so that we could get it in time. And gave us a good deal.
