If you had a white clad house, what style number plate would you have?

Just looking for ideas on what people think would look nice really.
I quite like the slate look as grey works well on the white, but also like the European ceramic blue with white numbers. Or perhaps just plain brass? Verdigris could work too...See, having an indecisive moment!
Any other ideas?

I only saw the thread title, but I immediately thought of slate, with plain bold numbers.

Yes, that is the first thought too - mainly because grey on white looks so good. I guess I am a little worried it might look a bit modern, but then it is a new build, so you can't get newer than that!

My grandparents had a slate number plaque on a white rendered house designed for them in the 60s. It was a fabulous building. The slate plaque is still there 50 years on!

I think the blue numbers on white ceramic sounds nice.

Those ceramic numbers always seem to crack in our weather, but I do live in Scotland. Here they always look a bit "optimistic".

our white painted house (rented) has a dark grey slate plate with white engraved numbers. it looks very nice - the house is c.200 years old and it doesn't look too modern at all. our neighbours have a sort of engraved brushed steel plaque that stands proud of the wall and i think that does look too modern

i think you would also want to think about the font

OK, I think you have convinced me with the slate. It was my first option, so must remember to trust my gut. Thank you all!
