Kitchen Companies that do 900mm high wall units

I want 900mm wall units in my kitchen as I want them to go up to the ceiling for extra storage and I hate cleaning on top on wall units!. I know Magnet and Howdens do them, but wondered if anyone know of any other companies that do? Trying to look at all options. We are not in the bespoke price bracket though! Howdens is looking favourite at the moment as I'm looking for light grey units and they have loads Smile. TIA

We got a local joinery company to make ours to measure - came out cheaper, fitted, solid wood doors than a flat-pack, unfitted, veneer option from one of the not-very-expensive other options.

Yes, Ikea do them for all ranges. Some of the other big kitchen companies only do the tall ones in the more expensive ranges

Is Ikea good quality? And can you get someone to do the design etc? When we had our bathrooms done we bought all the fittings and got someone in to fit them and he had to get some different bits as he said they weren't right so I'm wary of getting all the stuff in and it being wrong and wasting money.

just looked online and they haven't got the style I want anyway, looks a bit limited tbh. This is the Howdens one I like www.howdens.com/kitchen-collection/kitchen-families/greenwich/greenwich-grey/

Yep you can go Instore and they design it for you free of charge. I have ikea cabinets and I love them, can't see that they are any worse quality than anywhere else and they do a great range of sizes , I have the 90cm cupboards and they hold so much.

might have to have a look in the store as there was only about three or four different doors online. Did you get someone to install them or do it yourself? We need to get someone in as DH doesn't have time to do it himself plus we're going to need new plasterboard put up etc. I'm not sure if the usual places like Magnet do that aswell. When we had our kitchen fitted at our old house 13 years ago they ripped the old one out and installed the new one in a day, but that was solid walls and a small kitchen.

My husband did ours, there are loads of different doors you can download an oine kitchen brochure but in store is best for a look. If you over buy you can return items.

It was an ikea one that we could have bought, flat packed, not fitted, veneer, for the same price the local company did it custom made and fitted.

Wren do. we didn't get any because hubby is well over 6ft and I was concerned if we did then he would insist on putting things up on the top shelf that I have no hope of reaching (he did that once with a spider catcher! the whole point of having a spider catcher was for me to use if he was out so he went and put it on top of the kitchen cupboards one morning before he went to work. he didn't think about it apparently!) anyway I digress. we have a wren kitchen and so do my parents, both very pleased with it.

A MNer's husband has his own kitchen design company. We used him and he was fantastic - will do excellent quality bespoke kitchen units for less than Ikea. Definitely worth checking out:

His name is Paul. He's very helpful.

Culturemulcher - could you PM with his details please? Can't figure out how to PM you - not tried it before! :-/

Currently DIY kitchens is our front runner, but it'd be nice to not have to risk ordering it all myself - currently confused on how the horizontal unit over an American style F/F works and what height everything has to be... Confused
