Following on from the wood chip nightmare which thankfully we don't have in our new house. I do have three rooms with polystyrene tiles on the ceiling which I obvs want to get rid of before we move in, any tips please?

Be prepared to replaster the ceilings, these often hide really manky ceilings, or will bring down plaster as you get them off.
I'd get a wallpaper stripper and warm them slightly which might help loosen the glue that is holding them up.

oh god yeah had to replaster after but found the glue got stringy if we heated them so just pinged. maybe test a few and see if they are pingable. it was very satisfying.
also they were ancient not agent!?!

Ours remains happily in place and became someone else's problem when we moved.

The big diamond ones down stairs were ok, the ones upstairs were crocked, some total twat had started in the middle.
