Another cream kitchen question - matt or gloss?

I keep changing my mind. Is there any benefit to one over the other? I have two small children, ages 4 and 2 which I think will be a major factor in our decision making.

Please help.

I vote gloss as it is easy to keep clean. I find it doesn't show the finger marks as much as you might expect.

there both as easy as the other to keep clean.
just spray and wipe down. if you had a darker colour it will show marks more but still only a 10 min job to wipe the whole kitchen.
my view would be on the door finish - gloss regardless if the cheaper foil/vinyl or more costly painted lacquer will be a smooth finish.
Matt if foil or vinyl could have a slight texture to it so inspect the finish as could harbour grub, where a lacquer will be smooth and easier to polish up

annalouiseh is painted laquer the same as acrylic? I've just had acrylic units fitted and I'm really happy with them.

no there not the same,
are yours parpan solid acrylic? or the fronted acrylic doors with abs edging?
the acrylic will be a material where lacquer is an over coating
