Any suggestions on rural(ish)/village areas to move to in North Wales that are in catchment areas for a great primary school?

Just a little more information - we've got a one year old and moving from our little love nest to a family home and we really want this next house to be a long term home (6+years) so we really need to consider primary schools in our moving criteria.

We moved to North Wales a few years back and love it but the only problem is that we dont know any families with young children for recommendations. I've been looking on estyn but the reports are so vague especially the new reports.

In regards to location, we would love a rural/village location but not so rural that you have to travel 20 mins to get to a main road. Apart from being in the North West part of Wales i.e Flintshire or County of Wrexham we are very flexible with our location as we run our business mostly from home.

Budget wise we're looking at around the 200k mark and a 3 bed min as we would love another little one in the not so distant future. Maybe the village location might not be in budget but even a lovely neat estate surrounded by the country would suit us perfectly as long as there is a great primary school.

Any ideas of an area that fits the bill or even just recommendations for good primary schools would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.

There are some lovely villages in Denbighshire? Off the top of my head, Rhuddlan, Henllan, Trefnant, Llansannan. All quite near the A55 but positively rural-esque also.

I'd say look at St Asaph, Bodelwyddan, St George I like Rhuddlan too. All nice and ruralish.
We will be further along the coast eventually in the Conwy area.

Near Wrexham I quite liked Hope, and the outskirts of Wrexham itself, I have friends on the edge of town but her kids are grown now.

you could try and get a primary school that feeds into Brynhyfryd school (ruthin) if you are looking at denbighshire as this is an excellent secondary school
