Anyone know anything about Carpet Right's Lulworth Twist (to match F&B colour)?!

A long shot I know but I'm very pregnant and very desperate!

So I think I have decided on the Lulworth Twist (for no very good reason but let's not dwell on that) but which colour? Am thinking Stone or Pummice? To go mostly with F&B's Skimming Stone (apart from all the other rooms in the house which are mostly yet to painted!).

Anyone? Please?!

No idea but I would avoid Carpet Right at ALL costs. I had kitchen, toilet and bathroom flooring fitted by them and the whole thing was appalling. Long story with wrong flooring being delivered & long waits but I would never ever use them again - 2 of the rooms need to be refitted already, after less than 9 months.

Oh god. No. Not what I want to hear. I'm due to give birth in two weeks and don't have the time or energy or inclination or ability to look for an alternative...

but thanks for replying Grin

We've used Carpet Right a few times (just for wool berber carpet) and found the carpet and fitting good.

Thanks Searcher. Although I am now thinking I really should get a second quote...

How did you find the berber? I was tempted but have been advised a twist pile is harder wearing.

I've used Carpet Right and they were rubbish, turns out John Lewis would have been cheaper - would get a second quote - there is no such thing as 50% off - those carpets are not worth the original selling price - you are not getting a bargain.

Hmm... am starting to worry about using carpet right I have to admit. Have got a local independent place lined up for a quote tomorrow so fingers crossed... don't know why I didn't get John Lewis in though... normally go there first for just about everything!

I am going to use John Lewis over the summer.

DO NOT USE THEM-a close friend told me she was diddled by them -they asked for extra money etc after fitting, Go to a reputable local supplier -I did and they were great yes or John Lewis.

Thank you all for warning me off Carpet Right. Went to a local independent place today and saved myself over 30% as a result! Of course I don't know if they'll do a great job but at least they don't appear to come with a health warning!

Excellent news - think we will be getting 3 quotes - 2 from independents and one from John Lewis - we have a lot of carpeting to do.

Yep, I may also brave John Lewis today if I can...

I wouldn't touch CARPET RIGHT with a barge pole. Ordered carpet + vinly from them jan 2nd for a house we were moving into - as it was empty said they could come anytime they liked. Carpet & vinyl arrived Jan 10th. when we arrived at house mid feb carpet fitted but vinly still in roll in middle of room. phoned to ask why , they said fitter could not lay it as it was too cold. But there was a heater in the room, why not put it on & come back an hour or 2 later. why did they not phone us. Shop manager said it was not his problem but between us & the fitter. The fitter was booked by them, we had to give them the cheque to give to him after the job was done. they gave him the cheque the day they delivered to our house. they knew it had not been fitted & did not even bother to let us know. If they had we could have arranged for someone to come in & put the heaters on. After all that the fitting was rubbish, the carpet is all fraying at the edges & the vinyl is all lumpy. KEEP AWAY
