what floor for bathroom?

we're getting our bathrrom refitted this week, so will have a white tiled shower bath, and we're painting the walls a very pale blue-green (here called oxygen).

I'm thinking we need dark tiles on the floor, so a slate colour, but DH wants some lighter coloured tiling, as he thinks slate with white and blue-green will look ridiculous.

any ideas?

we're planning to put down vinyl floor tiles, as they seem the most sensible in a family bathroom!

thanks :)

I'd get samples to lay in the bathroom for a few days and see how you find it. Warning dark looks lovely in magazines but lighter does make a huge difference to making a room inviting. Dark really does make a room small unless yours is really big I'd go with DH not because it would look ridiculous but because of the light/bright dark/small case.

yes, room is teeny tiny - 5' by 5'3, so maybe light would be best.

where can I get samples from, do you know?
